So in the midst of pulling apart my engine to replace leaking gaskets, I saw my EGR was bad (probably stuck open and clogged, bad MPG, rough idling). So I bought a new EGR and today when I was removing the valve cover, I broke the pipe going into the bottom if the EGR. It has a large nut on it and was wrapped in the wire fabric. Where can I get one? Nowhere Ive tried (Napa, Rockauto, Summit) seem to have it.
I replaced one E.G.R. pipe on my 351w with a aftermarket unit. It was the " L " shaped one. After a few years it developed a leak, the thin walled pipe cracked at the seam. I then ordered a new part from https://www.tituswillfordparts.com/ and installed it and the part has been working great ever since.
Moral of the story, some aftermarket parts are great, some are good, and some are total junk. But Ford parts from motorcraft are the best.
