maybe adumb question

Does a '93 Ford use an OBD2 or OBD1 code reader? I say OBD1 but the parts guy at NAPA says it's an OBD2.Who's right?

it is an OBD 1. OBD II came along in late 95 for the 96 model year.

1996 and newer is obd2 pre 96 is obd1
I have a scan tool for obd1 someware in my garage if you need but I'm in kitchener Ontario.
I believe you can also read Obd1 with a voltmeter but don't remember how.
Research obd1 and you should learn how.
obd1 connector is under the hood.probably high on firewall on passenger side.
obd2 is right side of steering Column just under the dash.

not a knowledgable parts guy for sure next time you see him ask him for a water pump for a 1971 superbeetle then when he starts lookin it up you will know he is not a car guy at all hahaha
