is it possible to use extended length shock absorbers with extra travel as a way to get a small amount of suspension lift? im looking at Pro Comp's ES9000 extended length shocks with 15" travel.
Shocks don't lift the truck. For that, you need springs or spring shims to push the suspension away (but you lose downtravel) or bracketry to push the suspension away (labor-inten$ive).
Longer shocks will just allow the suspension to travel to its mechanical limits, including breaking the brake lines.
The airbags on those shocks behaves like a spring shim, so again, you lose downtravel. They leak frequently and are expen$ive. Why do you want lift? What do you do with the truck?
