Nice truck. Looks like an eddie buarer edition. Wonder how they changed the vin? Mine is still registared as a Bronco. We don't have nothing on the title about what engine is in it just # of cyclinders.
I got pulled over the other day, and since the cop was there already anyways I asked him what I should do about my cab swap. Since the VIN on the new cab isnt going to match whats on the title. I suggested swapping the tags around and he said no you dont wanna do that, thats a felony LOL
IIRC aren't the frames stamped on the top of the left frame rail near the front? I know my 68 250 is.
Our trucks will be on the right frame in front of the cab mount area.....
Is no big deal to swap cabs around here. Take the scraped title of the truck your using and an affidavit that you needed the cab for repairs and it is done...I used to have a bag of rivets for vin tags. Don't know what I have done with them.
When i did mine here in idaho, drove down there handed her the title for the frame, she wrote down the number off the cab, typed up a little tin tag with both vins, rivited it on, printed a new title, and charged me $44. Took all of about 20 minutes. They wanted like $400 in nevada, and would of made me perform around $1200 in repairs, assanine.
