Mirrors
Anyone know what the differences between the 99-04 power tow mirrors (non heated and non-signal) and the 2002-2007 power tow mirrors (heated and signal) are?

Looking at pictures of the two styles on ebay auctions, it looks like the mounting part is all the same with the exception being a different electrical connector due to the added features, which i had assumed. Since 90% of ebay auctions say "actual part may be different that what is shown in the picture, I never truly believe the pics used in auctions so can anyone confirm and give an idea of how hard it would be to upgrade? I was thinkin maybe cut the new mirrors connector off and wire the connector from my current mirrors to it and then running wires for the new features. The signal wire is pretty straight forward but not sure where i would want to tie in the heated mirror wire (which is the part of the new mirror i want the most). Thinking I could just put in a switch that is wired somehow so when the truck is shut off the heated mirror feature would shut off also. Any thoughts?

2000 f350 btw and after reading through https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/9...g-mirrors.html, I definately want the 08 mirrors but still sketchy on the issue with the plug in if anyone has any input.
