exhaust noise behind engine
We are on our way to Stone Mountain Ga with our newly acquired Expedition towing a light trailer (4500 lb)
The truck was doing fine when we began to hear an exhaust noise under a load.
It sounds like a manifold leak but it seems to be coming from directly behind the engine.
There is a crossover tube of some sort coming off the manifold.
I put my hand all around the engine and revved it. I could hear the noise but I could not feel the source.
So it's 5:am in Fayetteville, NC The ford dealership won't open for a while.
Any input would be very much appreciated.
The noise is minor, i could live with it and knock out more miles but I'm affraid of what other harm might come.
