Question Front spring spindle/stud removal

I had lunch with Dad today and he said he tried removing the front springs without success. The manual simply says to remove the nuts and drive the studs out which sounds different from the process we used to remove the rear springs. Anybody care to share how they removed their front springs? I'm sure my stock restoration counterpart George can answer my question but even you lowly hot rodders had to remove the springs to make way for your IFS systems.

Yikes! OK, OK!!! Just kidding!

I don't have my parts manual handy so I'm not sure if the parts are similar for the front and rear springs.

Thanks!

OK, Kevin. I'll bail you out this time but you spent $50 for the same catalog set I've got. I'm not scanning the entire thing for you!

Thanks, George! Yeah, I have the catalogs at home. It was bugging me after lunch so I thought I'd see if anyone knew what was up. Patience, grasshopper!
