I tried to so a search but everything I saw didn't seem to be the same problem i am having.. All four doors stopped working at the same time and the door ajar light is on in the cluster gauge , which I have checked a few times to make sure all my doors are closed tight. So i'm not sure if it's just a coincedence that the light came on at the same time the door locks quit working..
Have you checked your fuses.? My 99 in a bit different as far as the fuse box .. but mine has a 20A fuse that controls the power lock motors..do you have a owner's manual..showing the fuses?
One of the latches is probably sticking. Open all the doors and spray a little WD-40 or your favorite flavor of spray-directly in the latches. Then open & close it a few times until the lights go out. Then try your locks again...
Most likely your VSM has an issue. Last time I looked they were about a $100. You will have to get the dealer to program it though. You may find someone with capability to do it, but from what I have heard it is a dealer item.

Tried that, no dice. Must be something else wrong with it. and I know it's the drivers door or drivers rear door since that was the doors i was using when this happened today. and it's just like the power lock swtich is dead when i flick it unlock and lock i dont hear anything at all..
Next stop is the VSM, like Ken said. Had to replace mine already, but that was after the alternator was fluctuating wildly and I couldn't get AutoZoo to replace it. It eventually died enough where they did, but only after it killed my VSM....
Do you have Key Less Entry?? Here's a couple PDf Prints with and without keyless for your 02.
Yes I have key less entry, thanks for the pdf print outs, but i dont really under stand all that.. but something is wrong with the door ajar forsure and i think it's the driver side rear door.. but does anyone know if that will cause the door locks to not work a all??

where is the VSM located? and how easy was it to change out?
Will your doors lock using the switch on the other side of the truck, it simply could be that the switch on the drivers door went bad. Check the cheap easy stuff first.

Yea thats not the problem, when you put the drive in gear and start driving it use to lock all the doors on its own. it doesn't do that anymore they all stay open I have to manually lock everything. and the door ajar light is still on in he cluster gauge.
Okay, I see what you are talking about now. You original post just said they quit working, and now I see that the auto lock at speed is what quit working. My '02 is doing the same thing with some dash warning lights staying on. Just for ****s and giggles try turning your heater on full blast floor heat and let the cab get hotter than hell and see if the light goes off and the doors lock. I don't know why but that is when my lights go off, the tach starts working and the doors will auto lock. I am still trying to figure this one out but that is where I am right now.
