i have an 03 f250 and it seems to have developed a bit of a shake at idle.
its not constant, but it seems to shake for about a second then stop for a few seconds, then start over.
im thinking im going to change the plugs this weekend, but is there anything else i should look for while im at it?
the truck just hit 180,000 miles last month.
when i got it about a year ago the idle was butter smooth.
unfortunately i cant pinpoint exactly when it started.
At that mileage, it wouldn't hurt to go ahead and change the coil boots as well. Use some dielectric grease on the new boots to help seal them to the plugs to eliminate any arcing and misfires. A new PCV valve wouldn't hurt either.
