05 front end swap issue

05 front end swap issue
hey guys i did the 2005 grille and headlight swap on my 04 the other day and my hood seems to be shutting too close to the grille idk if anyone else had this issue but i adjusted it up alittle but its still hitting the grille when it initialy shuts i used the 05 header panel in my swap but i kept my 04 bumper, i trimmed my grille and i think the grill might be angled outward alittle im not sure (might be from the clips on the bottom) im going to look into it more when the weather gets better but i was just curious if this is normal or not.

Hi, i plan on doing this swap for my Excursion.. ive read it 100 times.. but alas i dont have all the parts yet...

I have a question though.. how much was your header panel and is it really easy to put in?

Lol thats ok the header panel was $285 but that's from the dealer I found it for$ 140 online but the shipping was outrageous and made it over 300. It was easy to put it the only issue I ran into which took about 2 hours was tthe 2 screws behind the blinker were rusted behind and the heads snapped off so I had to drill those oue then drill a slightly bigger hole and tap it for a new screw, but that was my only hang up so minus that it only took about 20 min lol
