So make sure to disconnect both batteries and make sure your keys are nowhere near the ignition I know that. Do you think I should get my PCM ripped apart and cleaned so that when she gets here I can put the chip in and route the switch? I would probably have time to put it in tonight if i did it that way huh?
I suppose first thing is first, I need to put my stock tune back on my pcm from my superchips thing.

Take the harness out and you will be fine. I remove the harness but leave the batteries in the thing. I'd leave the PCM alone
You could but the chip will override whatever is on the PCM
Put the stock tune back onto my truck from my superchips. Just pulled my pcm and brought it inside. About to open her up and start cleaning the connections. I couldnt wait until tomorrow!
-I got positions set on 0, 1, 2, 3, 4.
But What happens if you have over 9 positions. the switcher only has one digital number slot.

I reconfigured my switcher for position "d" today before loading my new F6 tune for that position. Guess what happens when you switch to that tune when there's none there?

Yep, but also wouldn't start in any other tune after that until I put it back into stock, position "1", first. I went through all the tunes again and the same thing happened. I figured it wouldn't have affected the starting in the other tunes. After loading the new tune, all was well again.

I believe you have to load the new tune before you configure the switch...
Got my F5 put in. And Daaaang. I love it ! Big thanks to Jody and James at DP !! . Got my Autometer cobalt from RiffRaff too so thanks to them as well. Time to put my superchips on craigslist. I can use that money for a trans temp gauge.
So I have never installed gauges before. Any tips or a link to a write up? Should I wait until I get the trans temp gauge and put both in at once?

You don't have to.... I wanted to see what would happen before I loaded the tune. Now, I know. Just didn't expect the "no start" in the other tunes, as well. That was the strange part. You can configure the switch for all the positions without any loaded tunes.
So I am confused. I ordered Position 0 as - no start. But when I am switching through my tunes it only lets me access 1,2,3,4 . not 0. It would be cool to be able to put it in 0 as a theft deterant. how do i do that?
