just bought a 6.0L OIL LEAKS PLEASE HELP!
I just bought an '06 f.250 ex cab 4x4 with a 6.0L. I have noticed an oil leak on the front, drivers side and the rear, passenger side of the engine, there is also some oil on the bottom of the bell housing. none of them look realy bad, but i don't want my truck leaking. any ideas? should i be worried? I am like alot of people in that ive heard ALOT of bad about the 6.0L, but i have a friend who is very happy with his '03. also, is an egr delete kit necesary on this year 6.0L?

Seriously, it could be coming from several different areas. It could be a $40 repair. Clean the oil off and see if you can find where it is leaking from.

You need to look over our Tech Folder:

Specifically here:

The leaks can be from MANY places (unfortunately), but to be able to say you have to remove the cab by reading only a single post on oil leaks from you is way off base. I hate oil leaks also (have a little drip hanging, not dropping, from the bell housing). Even if it IS a bed plate leak, NO WAY would I have the engine removed just to fix it.
Do what Tennesseepowerstroke said. You can even go to the dealership and have them put some dye in the oil. I have read that you can buy the dye yourself, but have never researched it. Either way, clean the engine area. There was a recent post on that. Then decide what next.

its still under my 30 day warranty, which is 50/50 (I pay/they pay) im gonna see what they want to fix it. i went to a diesel shop today and a mechanic told me an injector is going out. im thinkn about just payin half and making them fix everything, but if i understand correctly, oil leaks arent a pig deal?
