Hey guys just drove home my 06 f250 v10 on thursday. So far Im getting 10.5mpg. thats about what I expected. Talking to a few locals they have told me to change the plugs with the E3 Diamond fire plugs. Supposidly I can see a difference in mpg and performance. Has anyone used these.
if it dont say MOTORCRAFT on the side of the plug, dont put it into a MOD motor like ur V10...
these motors are super fussy about plugs, and aftermarket plugs like the E3 and other bull**** plugs are just a hassle you will have to swap back out again later..
They don't have a good reputation on this forum, especially with the V10 crowd.

That is the consensus. I can tell you that I used Motorcraft plugs and my mileage jumped 2 MPG. See my signature.
Autolites have also been proven to work in the V10 without issue.
Which is because Autolite makes the Motorcraft plugs
I once went into this a while back, researching each manufacturer's plug, all of types.
There are basically a few different types of "platinum" plugs.
First is plain "platinum" which is what our mod motors use stock. It has a platinum wire inside the main center electrode or the center electrode is tipped with it, and the ground electrode is plain steel.
Second is "double platinum" which means both electrodes use platinum, I think the ground electrode is just "tipped" with it.
There are more exotic versions too, I think one has a full platinum center electrode, and a bunch of other weird stuff.
The problem stems from the platinum having different electrical properties, so even double platinums take more volts to get a spark from. Which can play havoc with the COP coils.
E3 plugs are total marketing tripe. The plugs themselves are cheap chinese junk.
New plugs will always give improved mpg if the old ones you compare them to are grossly overdue. That fact is what the snake oil gee-whiz-bang plug marketers rely on.
A brand new Motorcraft plug will give you the same result, or possibly even a bit better result.
