OK, I hate to do this but, I have a list of personal grievances / events I just have to share and get off of my chest. I apologize in advance, as I don't usually share so much negative personal pain and suffering but, its gots to go somewhere.

Not listed by value of importance:

In Mid Dec I get a back, upper tooth pulled. In the process the young (albeit pretty) dentist, significantly scrapes my gum just above my front teeth. I am not informed. I go back two days later with great pain. She inspects and says nothing wrong. I am eating hydrocodon and regular acetaminophen like it is candy. I was taking 2.5 times the daily recommended maximum...and still no relief. When I finally discovered the scrape, my wife suggested that I rinse with Listerine as it is an antiseptic...Within thirty minutes my pain was gone. 5 days of excruciating pain for no reason...but, was thrilled to have relief. BTW: I made no issue of with the dentist.

January 8, 2011 I wake up on a Saturday Morning with the right side of my face, seemingly, hanging down to my chest. At first, I thought I had suffered a min-stroke in my sleep. All because one stinking nerve decides to take a "Time-out" I am afflicted with Bell's Palsy.... Bell's palsy - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia ...I am in my 16th week. If I had to rate the recovery I would guess that I am at about 50%. There is no real treatment and for some, complete recovery alludes them. The single biggest problem is I cannot close my right eye without closing my left one. In other words, that eye cannot blink. Tears puddle at the bottom of the eye and just drop out if I don't get to it time. Dry and burnt eyes are a HUGE problem. While half the face is affected, about 75% of the mouth/lips are. Did you ever drink beer or whiskey drink through a straw? Its a pain in the butt but, pretty funny looking.

In February my 16 foot tandem trailer is stolen from behind the shop. I did not receive the full replacement value from my insurance company but, that is another story.

Also, February 12, my 200 inch engine lathe has a catastrophic failure. So bad that the manufacturer, after a failed on site repair, came and picked up this 27,000. pound lathe and took it back to IL to repair it. In the mean time I am loosing profit as I have had to farm out the big jobs it was purchased for. I do not expect to see it again for at lease two more weeks. Thankfully, it is a warranty repair.

March comes in and I develop Planter Fasciitis ... Plantar fasciitis - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia ... Have to wear a pretty big splint at night while sleeping. Can't describe here the complication's that offers.

I would be remiss if I did not mention a tendon problem combined with significant arthritis in my left thumb. Makes pulling out wedgies a bit more difficult.

Oh yeah, First Quarter Business sucked.

April rolls in an we are informed that we have to redo the guardianship papers for my sister-in-law. The original was granted in MO but, after all these years her doctors want my wife's authority to be granted by The Great State Of Texas. The slight minimal fee $ 2,000.00+. Then we find out that Medicaid will not fund a small Handi-cap ramp. $ 1,000.

But the really bad news for Linda ( Downs Syndrome, Alzheimer's, Dementia) is it has been discovered that she has blood in her urine. Testing starts Thursday on that. BTW: Most testing for her begins with either a sedative or putting her completely out.

Then the icing on the cake, this weekend my darlin' wife was at a local small town outdoor craft fair. Old town square event. Except for the wind, a beautiful day. A rare chance for her to be alone and doing something she really enjoys. She goes back to the car to find a huge dent in the left front fender and door on her Cadillac. Hit and Run and of course, no one saw or heard anything....hundreds of people milling around. I attached a picture. Sorry low life scumbags just drove off without a care in the world. To Hell with the people they hit. Probably thought it was pretty funny.

So that's about it. Sorry for the venting and ranting but, since we are mostly amongst friends I just needed to get it all out. Apologies to all.

BTW, good things have happened as well, just doesn't seem to be on the same scale or frequency as this very inconvenient string of events.

Wow, is right. That's one miserable stretch of bad luck. My inclination is to say it's got to turn around now, but I don't want to risk jinxing you by saying that.

Hope your luck turns around quickly and in a big way...

I'd tell you to keep smiling but in light of the Bell's Palsy.......................

I've had a similar run since December 7th, not me personally (other than some material things) but the people I love have had a bad run. Empathy your way.

Having to deal with crap, stupid & otherwise is bad enough. Having to deal with it & illness too is just having the knife twisted. You have my sympathy & greatest wishes that things get just a bit better at the very least.

I hope it gets better.

Thanks for notifying me of that foot disease. I think I have it. My heels kill me. Keep a stiff upper lip.

Never mind the upper lip comment, I forgot about your first disorder.

J/K, I really respect your outlook of life and hope that things do get better for your family.
