where is the cruise control servo on these trucks? ive done alot of searching on the forum about cruise control not working, and im pretty sure mine doesnt work because of my servo. can i try to take it apart and free it up when i find it? truck in sig. -thanks
The servo is right next to the hood hinge on the drivers side inner fender. You can test it by applying engine vacuum directly to it, if it moves it's good. My cruise wasn't working last year and after tearing half the truck apart replacing parts of this system I found a chafed wire in the engine bay just below the steering column.
i applied engine vacuum to the servo and nothing happened. i took it apart, applied vacuume again, and realized that the servo was hissing. the air was leaking. bingo. where do i find a new servo? it seems like one of those parts that is impossible to find.
