Chris thanks for responding back. You cannot mix up the frx and hpx they are different sizes. the fuel pump does not come on, I put a meter on the 2 wires that are on the fuel pump and didn`t get a reading. The truck will crank . No fuel is in the fuel bowl. It ran like crap because I was running out of fuel I believe. I am wondering about the 42 pin connector? I don`t know what to do. Could it be the fuel pump died because of thextra pressure in the frx.
The 42 pin connector should set IDM codes unless it's because you have a chaffed wire below the box or behind the box where the wires come out of it. If the wires coming out of the 42 pin connector are chaffed and short to ground, it can kill power to the PCM which does not turn the fuel pump on.
Also be sure to check all your fuses and swap your relays around. Are you getting a WTS light that comes on and goes off like normal? If not, you may have blown your fuel bowl heater which also takes out power to the PCM when the fuse blows. If the light comes on but does not go off, leave the key in the on position and start wiggling the wiring under the hood. If you suddenly hear the fuel pump kick on, the dead circuit has been energized and the truck will likely start again. You'll also know which wiring to inspect more closely. If you have a chip, remove it while this is narrowed down (take key out of ignition before touching the chip).
