fuel pump noise
How loud should it be?
After struggling with a no start I narrowed it down to the fuel pump which seems to have seized. I installed a new Bosch from Napa and it started with some hesitation (air in the line?) and no real complaints. As a side note, how long will it take to get all the air out of the lines?
My only question is how loud should that bosche pump be? I can hear it humming while in the cab with the engine running!

The air will make it to the heads and will need to be purged through the injectors, unless you have a regulated return from the heads.
I haven't heard a Bosch pump, but I know some like the FASS are pretty loud when running.
