Mach, Who makes you bug shield and do you have a picture of it on your truck? I have been looking for the right one to buy since ford does not make one yet for the 2011. Thanks, Craig
The bugsheild is made by AVS. I forgot the part number for it and I am away from my laptop with all my pics on it. I will post a pic and part number tomorrow.

Wingcat...AVS bug deflector part number 25062...here's a pic...
I had a high profile bug deflector on an older truck and it seemed to work, but the similar looking (to yours in the photo) low profile one on my 05 did nothing. I don't think these low deflectors are worth installing unless it's just for the looks. I do like the look.
So we bitch about spray nosels, get everyone spun up about it and then say, "I haven't tried them yet"? Step up the game. Like a bunch of old women who got nothen else to do but bitch.

With all due respect I was pointing out location seems stupid.....what does it matter if I used it or not?

Because you got us all looking for a solution to your non problem! We all did ASSUME that you had tried it (I guess the words, "who decided to get the hood covered with washer fluid every time you wash the windshield?") got us.
I should add one thing... wish my son could aim as well as these nozzles do!
Although I LOVE this truck, I have but two gripes...
Location of the windshield washer nozzles...who's the rocket scientist who decided to get the hood covered with washer fluid every time you wash the windshield?
No integration of the climate control on the Navi/Sync like other Ford products?
Just saying
Must have been the rocket scientist who was actually doing his job.....came up with a good design that works.

Someone is testy, lighten up. I think if you pay 60K for a truck, you have the right to question the design from time to time. Ford makes a great truck and some times makes one wonder WHY. No one is saying your truck is a piece of s***.
I love my truck and was wondering why they put the nozzles out so far myself. I will not be removing them soon and putting them closer.

It will protect the hood from paint chips if nothing else. The windsheild still gets buggy. I do like the look as well.

...It made a weak spray and it got all over the hood.
I hear Gummit Motors Corp. trucks won't do that because the washer nozzles have a boxed frame.
Mine don't spray the hood, but they spray kind of low on the w/s and don't really catch the top quarter where my line of sight is. I liked the ones on my old Jeep Cherokee better, where they'd spray the top weatherstripping on the w/s and give the washer fluid a little extra lift to hit the guy behind me.

Joe
That is what you get for buying a Cherokee. My wife's GRAND Cherokee completely misses the weatherstripping and will not only hit the car behind her, but the one that is two cars back as well. You get what you paid for!
