Talked to my cousin. Apparently, with the truck running, the oil was spurting out of the dipstick hole in the pan and running along the frame to the back and dripping off the rear diff plate. I didn't see it for myself, but when I dumped the truck off, there was a small drip at the rear diff and they traced the oil stream back to the pan. Ordered the dipstick kit online.

Wasnt your tail gate oily? or ALL the frame with little oil drops? because 8 quarts its A LOT of oil.
x2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I broke my oil pressure line once and lost two gallons of oil. There was a puddle under the truck the size of a average swimming pool!!
I know....it doesn't make sense to me either. No, the tailgate wasn't oily. Just the frame and maybe drive shaft? (what cousin told me) I haven't looked under the truck since I left the shop. Believe me, even as a relative, it's bloody hard to get the straight answer from the cousin. Either they fix it or they get embarrassed as hell if I take it back to get fixed properly, which would be priceless.
