Changing injectors: Problem

I am trying to change the injectors on my 91 E350 with a 7.3idi. I have the kit and have gotten the passenger side bank done completely. On the drivers side though, at the very front the last piece was a T fitting that led off from the bank to a fuel return port on the filter assy at the front of the engine. In my kit though it came with a fitting that is essentially a single nipple. Is this right?

I thought I had heard that the fuel return line could be blocked off without issue. Is this correct? I did this process because I was having difficulty starting the engine in the morning.

Also, the refurb injectors that came with the kit are CAV brand and the ones I took out were Delphi. Is the CAV brand ok? I havent heard of them before.

Cav is good stuff, i have a set in my tractor, as long as the return is hooked to the line at the left rear of the motor you should be ok just make sure you block off the filter too.
