Engine idles down and kills when braking

I think I am finally getting somewhere on my truck. Can anyone confirm my thoughts? This engine came with single shot injectors but found out that mine are split shots. I can get a code 1211 ICP high/low when I tow and stand on it. This is a fresh rebuild with a new HPOP. Are the split shots dropping my oil pressure, resulting in a retarded injection timing. I have read that the split shots will make idle bad with programming for singles. I have read that custom tunes is the answer. I am also having high EGT's. The injectors are stage 2 and I have a bigger than stock turbo 66 mm. Am I on the right track?

The programming has to match the injectors. I don't know the symptoms of what happens when you try to run split shots with single shot programming or single shots with split shot programming. But yes, you have got to get that fixed before you advance any farther.
