computer

I need advice on what to do, about not being able to browse through these type auto forums.

I once heard I need to change something about my computer to make browsing better, at present on this site I can push the button just to move the page up and down and take more than 5second just to do that, and when I try to change pages oit takes a lot longer, it sure make this and all other sits a lot less fun and a whole lot miserable.

If this is not the proper place to post such questions, please let me know, where to get help.

its just really slow? how fast are other internet sites (such as a song on youtube) with the exception of alot of pictures there really isn't alot of site here to load (bandwidth wise!) you might want to run a good virus scan. what do you have for a computer and internet service.

When was the last time it worked normally?

After a virus scan, the first thing I would try is a system restore. Pick a date far enough back where you weren't having any problems.

Malwarebytes Anti-Malware - Free software downloads and software reviews - CNET Download.com If you click on this link you can download Malwarebytes (free). Do not download anything else. Once it has downloaded let it update and then run a scan. Get it to delete anything it finds.
Also go to Control Panel in your computer then click on Internet Options and then on Delete Browsing History/Cookies. Click that and check all the boxes and click Delete. It may take a few minuites for it to complete. Now restart your computer.

I am using verizon,, and a fairly old Dell that I just had double the memory added to it, lasat year.

I have been told long time ago I think that I need to change my bowser or something, like to foxfire or similar like thing that got along better with these forums, does that sound right, I am not a computer person what-so-ever

Google Chrome - Get a fast new browser. For PC, Mac and Linux If you want to try another browser you may want to try this. Only download if you have Windows XP or later.
However delete the cookies and run a virus scan first.

yuck to google chrome, I can't get it to compare to firefox. (not counting that I support open source) but if your using internet explorer either or would be an upgrade. simple to download too, and when you bring it up you can set it as your default browser and transfer your favorites.

along the lines of deleting cookies, run the entire system cleanup (deleting cookies is a part of it) and run defragmenter a couple times over the course of a couple days.
