72 F100-troubleshooting wiring problem

I have a 72 f100 390. In the dark I hooked up the battery backwards and now the engine won't roll over. Found one fusable link and fixed it. I put a new soleonoid on. Still nothing. Any advice? Hidden fusable links? Please help.

I did the same thing once and fried my voltage regulator, however, that won't prevent the engine from turning over. I assume your battery is still good? How about your ignition switch. Sounds like you did a good job on it. I empathize.

Check the alternator. A reversed battery will have a direct short to ground thru the diodes. One or more may be blown open.

All the fusible links I can remember are on the starter relay terminal that has the battery positve wire going to it.
Although hooking up a battery backwards is bad and could cause the alternator diodes to go poof as well as the voltage regulator these will not stop the starter from turning over.
If it was working before the little mistake I cant see how a neutral safety switch would burn up, or an igntion switch. Since switches do care which way the electricty goes thru them
I would suspect that one of the fusible links died a horrible smoking death
I seem to remember there being two maybe three on the starter relay. You could have also burned up some wiring
Is there any power to anything on the truck??? Have you tried jumping 12 volts to the "S" terminal of the starter relay. If the starter turns then the relay, starter and starter wires are good, it is the circuit to the "S" terminal that is bad.
If it doesnt turn over, could be relay, bad ground wire, dead battery to name a few.

Take one Booster cable and attach one end to the + pst of the battery & then touch the other end to the starter side of the starter solenoid.

If that makes the starter turn over <> great.... now see what happens when you do what Sparky said to do with the S terminal.
