Front Diff. Fluid Change
I would have posted this down in the other section of the forum but it looks as if nobody ever replies to anything! I have a 2003 Super Duty and I'm looking to change all my drive line fluids. I have Royal Purple for the rear diff. and transfer case but neglected to order any fluid for the front diff. What are you guys running when doing the front diff. fluid change. The manual calls for SAE 90 Hypoid but I'm not having any luck finding a good compatible fluid. I figure since I'm going with good fluid everywhere else I'd like to put something good in the front diff. as well! I seen one tech. article and the guy used 75w90 but I'm unsure how this compares to the 90w. Any help or suggestions on this would be great!!

I use SAE Motorcraft (75W-90 I think) gear oil in my front diff, but I also get a discount from the dealership, just personal preferance. There's cheaper and prolly better stuff out there. I changed my front & rear diff at around 60K when I put my 08 rear diff cover on, I also changed the transfer case oil but I used Amsoil ATF for that. No problems so far, and im at 83K now

My manual actually calls for 80W90 and I couldn't find that anywhere and almost every post I found on here said to use 75W90 so I went for it. I believe the "NS" suffix in the part number indicates "no friction modifier"
