I would like to know what you folks are using for floor mats on top of your carpet to protect it.
I recently bought a .94 F150 XLT Supercab, and can't seem to find anything that fits right, brand names if you can, Thanks!
The price of the husky liner is worth every cent. Mine can hold alot of water from melted snow. They keep the carpets nice. One thing during the winter leave a meduim sized towl on the floor in in the Husky liner, it will soak up any standing water. Plus you can get full liners for extended cabs too.
I would consider replacing the carpet all together and putting in the factory rubber mat, they're not that expensive. They are far easier to keep clean and after all it is a "truck", right?? Hot soapy water, a bristle brush, followed by a hot rag wipe down and walla, it's good as new!!! Carpets tend to trap odors no matter how well you clean em. I think it defeats having a nice soft carpet when you have to cover it with aftermarket floor mats. If you do go the floor mat route, my wifes jeep has huskey-liners and they are the cats--s if you don't want to yank the carpets!! For my HD250 it's rubber all the way!!
Right on I ordered my 94 without carpet for that reason. mine are still in great shape I've had the truck since it took delivery 10/93 and the mats look a lot better than the carpet in the wifes 96 Jeep
yep, the OEM rubbers are great! I use Fantastic for a good cleaning in winter.
Try Wally Mart for a set of rubber truck size mats with deep valleys; about $20.00 a set.
