2011 SD

Order new SD 1/20/11 6.2 gas. Still do not have borne date. Is anyone else haveing same problem

I have heard the wait is up 14-16 weeks for ordered one. Seems to be a shortage on parts and some of the paint colors that come from Japan.

Welcome to FTE. You can either have your dealer call the Ford regional rep to find out what the problem is, or call Ford customer service at 800-392-3673 or 800-335-1357, explain the problem, give them your order number and dealer #
both on your vehicle order confirmation. They should elevate your problem to a higher level and call or email you and hopefully move you to a higher priority.
I ordered 16Mar and my order has been processing since then and has not been updated since the order was put in. I have called several times(5-6), when I called Monday, the lady moved it up but I have not heard from them yet.

I live in Louisville, KY where they make the SD. Ford furloughed employees at the truck plant last week. Two reasons given were (1) interruption of parts/materials (including Tuxedo Black pigment) from Japan and they don't want to screw over the suppliers when they are down by finding substitute sources, and (2) decreased demand due to high fuel prices.

I ordered a F-250 on March 6. I received the VIN number last Friday (April 8). Still waiting on a build date.

I called customer service.

My truck is scheduled to be built the week of April 25. HOORAY!!!

That's 7 weeks after placing my order on March 7.

I'm hoping 2 weeks for delivery, or mid-May.

Nice looking truck. Don't worry it wont be long if they build it on the 25th.
Mine got built on 2-11-11 and it was at the dealer on the morning of 2-16-11. Mine was shipped to the Detroit area by truck and not rail.
