It's not a work truck, it's a toy! I'm going to use it to pull my camper and (one day) a fifth wheel. If I'm going to be tooling across America, I might as well go in style and be comfortable.
Some of my friends my age bought sports cars. I bought a great big truck!
I think you got your order in before the disaster.
I just picked up my tuxedo black F250 last week, but it was most likely built with materials that were procured before the earthquake. I talked to a buddy of mine that buys for Ford. He said ALL manufactures are having difficulty with black paint due to the additives that come out of Japan. Toyota is especially hard hit with paint and parts. Just be patient and wait it out. These factories will get ramped up again soon. They need the revenue to rebuild. They won't sit idle for long....
It was cool. It was built on 4/25/11 and last week I started calling the Ford customer service line every day. It moved by rail through Tennessee and West Virginia. On Wednesday, they said it was at the rail yard in Petersburg. I called the salesman to see how long it would take to have it delivered the 20 miles to Richmond. He said he's see. He called back in about an hour and said, "Guess what just pulled into my lot!" Then, bless their hearts, they had it ready for me by 5 p.m.

Congratulations in the new truck. Enjoy you new truck it lolls great. That color didn't look that food to me at first, but with 2 tone it looks really good.
I didn't care for the full golden bronze color. I saw the two-tone at a car show in Richmond and thought it looked awesome, so I changed my order from platinum/adobe to golden bronze/adobe. I just love it.
