Thought This Was Odd -79 F250

Ford : F-250 | eBay

The guy lists it as a lariat, but other than the door panels I don't think it is. No badge on the glovebox. Pictures don't show it clearly, but I don't think there are map pockets or the headliner/sunvisors are lariat style.

Clearly has an explorer paint job, but I've never seen an explorer with the racetrack trim. It is badged as a Lariat on the passenger side.

Just curious if you all thought this was an original truck

He shows THAT at car shows ?????
Could be a Lariat but for $3500 (!!!!) come on, you can do a whole LOT better.
(Where do these morons come from?)

The glovebox door trim probably fell off, typical. Can't see any signs of a headliner to tell what is up there and it has no visors. Hard to tell if it is an original Lariat from what pics he has posted. I can tell that he has no experience doing body work. Those rear wheel well patch panels look awful. The rust would of looked better.

He does have a "handicap" hanging from the mirror. Going by that listing I've got one that should be worth $12k.

I think it might be a Lariat or at least a reasonable facsimily. The tailgate has the extra piece of trim above the aluminum FORD trim pannel. If you look at the interior shot from the passenger side you can just make out the chrome headliner trim. It has cruise control and it looks like the wheel might be a tilt (it doesnt look straight with the steering column). it does have Lariat door pannels with the chrome trim on the lower sections but no map pockets so who knows.

Ya, bad patch job and not worth 3500 bucks IMHO.

Typo I'd say. The buy it now is $3500. Even still, no way I'd pay that.

He's only about 30 minutes from me and I'm going to Charleston this weekend. I'm going to try to arrange a look-see and get more details.

Handicap placard and a stetson in the cab, hmmm.

I have all of those things on my 79 Ranger XLT, so could be closer to that than a Lariat. But the seat covering does look larietesque.

Wow, yeah, umm, car shows?? Seriously? I always thought if you were going to put something in a car show, that isn't a rat rod, it should be at least CLOSE to showroom condition.

It's not listed in the ad or description unless I missed it someplace. I know where your supposed to list the VIN, it's empty.
