I finished my column drop today. I only needed two inches of drop wanted something a little different. The connecting rod I used is from an old 'Hercules' industrial motor. I cut it about an inch and a half above the big end and drilled a 1/4" hole through the beam. I cut two small 'L' brackets out of 3/4" angle iron and welded them to a flat piece of 1/2" stock about 5" long. I bolted it to the stock steering mount holes on the bottom of the dash with a piece of rubber in between for a gasket. Now on to the brake pedal.

I haven't decided on a finish yet. It actually looks pretty good as is. The truck will be cream and maroon. I still have to pick up a mount to use on the floor. At least it's starting to look more like a truck than just a big go-kart frame.
