I dont think I would be a fan of the bed rug. I got a rhino liner that was sprayed in by ziebart. I don't know the cost the previous owner had it done. I like my rhino liner. It is fine to crawl around on, and all that. I just don't know how the bed rug would be with grease. And I have hauled a lot of dirt and small rock, what about that. And if you are ever going to haul wood that you have just cut you got to think about tree sap, it just washed off my rhino, I think it would just gum up in that carpet. In those picks I really didn't like the way it looked either, I think a good spray in like rhino or line-x looks so much better. That bed carpet just screamed old-man. Just my opinion. I know others on here are a fan of it, but just tellin how I feel.
Wife has a bed rug, and I wouldn't use it for hauling machinery but its fine for dirt/hay/feed and keeps stuff from sliding around. They are well made.
If you want more resale value, use spray liner just BEFORE you sell the truck and that nice fresh coat will cover smaller dings in the bed! I learned that trick working in a used car lot.
I won't run liner because I want to be able to do instant bed removals if I need to for maintenance like changing a fuel pump, (I pull all my bed bolts and anti-seize them, takes only a few minutes) and I don't see the point since I'm not in the rust belt.
Yeah, I could mask the holes, but if I haven't destroyed the paint completely there isn't much reason to bury it under liner. The sandblaster will take it all off anyway should I wish to line it later, so why not use up the painted surface first?

I had a stain from my hitch ball in the 150, and it cleaned up just like they said it would. Pressure washer and a little soap was all it took. You can find that at any self serve car wash.

I can remove the Bedrug in 10 seconds, literally. It's velcroed in, just start pulling. Takes maybe a minute to put back in.
I don't really agree with this, but it's all good. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. My thought is if you buy a truck that already has a top quality spray in liner (LineX for example) you're done with it.But f you buy a truck with a bare bed it will cost you another $400-$500 for a quality bed covering. Now if you buy a truck with a DIY bed liner in it that could hurt the value IMO.<!-- / message --><!-- sig -->
Oh I agree 100%. Around here there are a lot of folks that use their truck bed in their work. The nice used trucks with spray-in bed liners usually sell first at the local dealer. Even though the dealer don't give you anything on a trade for a bed liner they tack on an extra 100 bucks at the sale if it's got a Line-X spray-in bed liner. I know that for a fact because they did it on my '04 STX.
My Super Duty was done by the dealer with thier purchased/rented sprayer equipment. After a few years started chunking off. I hate it. I would go with a trusted professional outfit to do it. I just dont like the rough surface of them though, and prefer the plastic slide in so I can haul anything without concern of getting scraped up with the liner surface.
Edit: I might add though that the Super Duty Im driving has a gooseneck adaptor which makes using the plastic slide in more difficult an option.
Well I had mine done on Friday. It is Ameraguard. It looks awesome! It has a lifetime warranty, was done only 5 minutes from my house. It was $375. I have nothing bad to say about the Rhino Liners I have had. But I like the finish of this liner better. Time will tell if it is as tough as Rhino , it sure looks sharp though!
I had mine Line-x'd and put in a Ford bedmat. Seems to be the same setup most of my family and friends use on their pickups and have for years. Pretty unbeatable if you ask me. Also had them do up the wheels wells.

They all have a lifetime warranty, but not many have a nationwide lifetime warranty. Ameraguard does not have a nationwide warranty. Ameraguard is aromatic, it's going to fade badly (just like Rhino) unless you have a tonneau cover.
Here's LINE-X Premium. Nationwide lifetime warranty and no fading.
Ameraguard fades no more than linex they all after being exposed to sunlight. The ameraguard has the same fading protectin as linex. They are pretty much the same product offered by different companies.my ameraguard
Looks just as sharp as the linex. They both are great products.

No sir, that's totally incorrect. Ameraguard does not have a product like LINE-X Xtra or LINE-X Premium. Ameraguard does offer an optional urethane based UV topcoat which is just auto paint. They use it for black and colors. This type of UV topcoat is not very durable, only sits on top of the bedliner, and can be easily worn down. LINE-X Xtra and Premium are WAY more advanced products and WAY more durable.
This is what can happen when you use a urethane based auto paint on top of a bedliner.
Again no bedliner if left in the sun is 100% fade resistant. Some will fade less. When I priced linex ultra guard they wanted an extra 125 which put the install at over 625. If you want to spend your money that way go ahead. I am not arguing that ameraguard is better just a very similar product for less. And in my case. The installer os 5 miles vs 40 for linex. If it was the other way around I may have gone the other way. Linex isn't the only good product on the market.
LINE-X does not have a product called Ultra Guard. Black LINE-X Premium doesn't cost anywhere near $750 and neither does black Xtra. I'm not saying LINE-X is the only good bedliner product (and I'm not saying Ameraguard is bad), but tell me, who's got a product better than Premium or Xtra?
Many LINE-X dealers are offering a $99 upgrade to black Premium. Pretty good bang for your buck if you ask me.

Here's LINE-X Xtra in a Ford tri-coat pearl. Not many bedliner companies can apply this color WITH the pearl sheen!
