Hey yal, im new here, but i've been lurkin around for awhile and finally decided to register. I have a question for some of you guys, i've never previously owned an F250, have owned other Ford vehicles in the past tho. Im getting ready to buy an F250, regardless if its this one or another one. Now, I know that it all depends on who had the truck before and how well they took of it and everything else, but when im getting ready to drop $10k down on something, I just want some reassurance.
Here are the specs...
2000 F250 5.4L 4x4 ext cab long bed w/150k miles price = $7500.00
I have driven the truck and it does run excellent, tip top shape. No leaks, no knocking, nothing like that, almost like brand new really. But my question is, if it were you, would you buy it with that many miles? I know how to take care of my vehicles, im just nervous I guess, i've owned beater trucks in the past with well over 200k but never paid more than $2k for it. So when im paying that much more on something, I just want to feel a little more comfortable, even tho I know that there is no for sure answer. Im also looking at a few others but there either more expensive or have more miles.
Thanks!
(hope I posted this in the right place)
Well, so far I haven't found many of the V10s. I'd prefer not to have to go down the chain to an F150 but it's looking like the better route here. Id like to go with a F250 tho, if I could travel farther, i've seen plenty of them with good mileage and good price, just too far away.
What do you plan to do with your truck? I feel that determines what sort of truck you buy more than anything else.
I pull a toy hauler, go to the desert and go off roading in the dunes, so i needed power and 4 wheel drive. I went for the V-10 crew cab F-250. Before I had all of that, I had a 4.6 F-150 that suited my needs fine.
