Trailer Brake control

Hello, I have a 2002 Excursion which has the factory tow hitch and wiring harness but no conection under dash to plug in a brake control for my trailer. My 03 Expedition had a pre wired connector that hooked right up to my brake control. After looking for this connector on my EX I found no connector but did find 4 wires bundled together. RED,BLACK,BLUE,WHITE. These colors matched the colors on my brake controller wiring but want to make sure these are the correct wires for the trailer brakes . Any help would be great. Thanks for your time.
