I found my boost leak.

I have been noticing my EGT’s have been running higher then normal.

So today I tested using my boost leak detector and within 10 seconds I found my leak.

The bolt of the feed line on the power steering pump rubbed a hole threw the inner cooler pipe.

For a quick fix, I wrapped some Alummi tape around it until I can have it welded this week.

Pretty common location for issues. I was thankful when I did the foil delete that mine hadn't been rubbing.

Man, that did rub thru pretty good. Great pics Mark and thanks for posting it up. I guess this proves we all should make or purchase a boost leak detector..very inexpensive..

Wow, I had to take my drivers VC off this weekend to chase down a ground fault code & I found the exact same thing. Well, almost... Mine has been rubbing in the exact same spot.. just no hole yet

I will be checking mine tomorrow, I have a bad boost leak right now. I know my uppipes are shot but to only be making 17psi boost with my DP installed its worth a shot
Edit: i checked mine its not a hole yet but whats a good way to stop it from becoming a hole forever?
