Everyone, including me suggest using OEM filters in your 6.0L

Motorcraft, or Racor, Racor makes the Motorcraft oil and fuel filters. Also, the external tranny filter is made for Motorcraft by NTZ.

Here is a place on line to buy for less:

Ford 6.0 Liter Turbo Diesel Truck Filters, Air Filters, Oil Filters, Transmission Filters And Glow Plugs - Diesel Filters,Additives, brake rotors, and brake pads for Chevy, Dodge and Ford Diesel Trucks

And video to watch as to why:

Use only OEM filters. Your truck and wallet will thank you in the long run.

Fram is very convenient but cheaply made compared to Moto racor and int.

Take that Fram and throw it as far as you can away from your truck!

I shop on-line, so I really can't say what they would cost me retail.

$35.75 on-line + shipping

Diesel Filters Online is the best place on the net I have found. They sell Racor & Motorcraft (Racor is cheaper). I have heard from several sources that filters from an International dealer are also cheaper than Motocraft.

Anybody from north of Toronto that knows a good spot to buy these parts with out being mislead? Could use a reliable mechanic that knows these trucks as well!

If you don't get any responses to these questions you might try posting in the appropriate Canadian Regional Chapter (see link below).
