Rough Itle

I am new to the 7.3 world. I got rid of my 2006 6.0 wich was a nice truck to drive and never gave me any problems. Now i am driving a 2000 f350 lariat le drw wich is also a nice truck but much different. So my question is what are the things i am going to notice (one being the rough itle) that i shouldnt worry about? Is the rough itle normal or is something wrong? Thanks

When my ICP sensor started going bad the truck started running pretty rough. May want to check that. My knowledge is fairly limited, but Hope that helps.

A few things that are different is, you don't need to worry about head studs/gasket going bad, you don't need to worry about the EGR giving trouble, don't have to worry about the variable vane turbo giveing you problems. You should hear a little louder idle but not rough idle.

Hang out and read about how much we love the 7.3.

Do you know if you have the Gray recall CPS in the truck? If so it will cause a little rougher idle than the Black original.

You can try and disconnecting the ICP at the plug.. and see if it improves your idle.. If so, I would replace the ICP..
