Or you'll be lucky like me. I had the portapower on standby but I only had to bend the pinch weld like 1/4" or less. I also only needed one cut on my old DP to get it out. Took less than an hour start to finish. NOT how most of my projects go! Good luck
I may have spoke to soon, I think I have a slight bit of firewall contact at around 22mph. Not sure what I can do about it since the porta power was just trying to rip the cab off the frame instead of bend the firewall but it's pretty minor so I'm not going to get too worried about it. I think my truck is one of the minimal clearance models.

How close to the uppipe is it? Might just need to shift/twist the top part of the downpipe a bit to get it away from the firewall and towards the motor a little more.
heading to the shop to put the down pipe and new 5 inch exhaust on the beast today thanks for all the info you guys are great folks thats whats wrong with the rest of the world nobody wants to help another anymore all bout themselves thanks again
Mine did it most often on right turns for some reason.
Sounds like you have some motor mount issues like I do.
My fan somehow hits the shroud occasionally, but I cannot get my engine block to move at all, though I feel it moving when driving.
My DP is tight, but if you get it in there right, It will be golden.
I have about 1/4 or less clearance around it.
Dry fit everything in place before tightening it for sure!
