Anyone ever have steam come up just left of center front of dash next to windshield? only does it when i am in the throttle pretty good or pulling a long hill. just started doing this, no sign of wet carpet, or leaking heater core. nothing is wet on the passengers side under dash. stinks like antifreeze.???
I would say something is wrong with your heater core based on my previous experience.
On my 01 Mustang, I had a leaky heater core that eventually allowed for a coolant smell and sprinkling coolant on the windshield right from the air vents.
As the others said, heater core. Happened to me before on my 150 I had, on it you pretty much had to remove the entire dash to get to it. About the same on these trucks.
You can get a short section of heater hose and bypass it on the engine until you can find time to do anything with it. I wouldn't recommend running it more, it will only get worse, it can ruin carpet and electrical components.
You do NOT have to remove the dash to do the heater core.
Remove the glove box, then the panel to access the core is right behind it.
There are two screws holding the blend door motor down that has to be removed, the two heater hoses, then about ten screws around the perimeter of the access panel.
