Okay.....I finally got my leak solved. I had tried another cap but to no avail......so since I have pressure tested it out the wazoo and almost on the verge of insanity I purchased some coolant leak detecting dye from work and gave it a double dose. Drove it for a couple days and took the UV light to it.....and to my surprise and joy found my green shamrock coming from the core itself on the upper side of the radiator. Apparenty since it was barely seeping across the floos, it was burning off before it could be seen and not leaking enough to show on the pressure test. So without further adeau I'm ordering another radiator from work since it is less than a year old and less than 3,000 miles old.
Is that the aluminum radiator in your signature? Now I'm curious, how do you like the aluminum radiator? Aside from the issues you've recently had with it.
To blueOval....I like it cause its a little lighter on the install plus its welded not soldered. I thought it would have lasted til the cows came home, but apparently my truck loves to eat radiators being this is the third one in the 5 years ive owned this truck.
To Onus.....I have extended life but not dexcool. Its reads compatible with aluminum. The antifreeze shouldn't have been the problem cause when I installed it around this time last year I completely flushed all old green antifreeze out and put brand new extended life.
