Come on, guy's, somebody's gotta stand up for the F-4s. I think they're the most user friendly of the big trucks for the way guys generally will use them today. Plus the single channel frames aren't prone to rust like the double channels used on the bigger models. There have been two on u-pay recently that I just about bit on, but decided I don't need one more project sitting out in the barn. Now, if I find an F-4 M-H, on the other hand, that'll be different. I've never seen one, and have heard of only a couple. Stu
I'd love to have one myself for the very reasons mentioned.... in a 4x4. I'd even go as so far as to put a jailbar body on it for something other than another monkey face to look at.
Heck, Scott, why not just go straight to a jail bar MH? There's one in VT magazine for sale this month. A '41 former Snogo in Ontario asking $3000. Saw airport duty and has only 3900 miles! Stu
Looks to be far Eastern, Ont. A bit too far for me.
Anyway, there's a '46/47 truck on the edge of town, and I was told $600. I may have to look at it, though I think it's as long as a 158" F6. Would like the shorter WB of the F4. All part of my contemplation of sorts, lol. The F4 listed here is too far away, lol. The 134" F6 dumptruck I have, I would think, is geared even lower than an F4?
