Hi all, looking at Edge for the wife. Just curious what everyone is experiencing for mpgs. I read a few threads that asked for mpgs but didn't see too much in those. So Im hoping you guys can help me out. Thanks!
My wife has an 07 2wd and her driving habits aren't conducive to good mpg and when I look at the lie o meter it's hovering around 18-19 mpg mixed city/hwy. I can get 25 mpg hwy when I drive it
Wife has about 12,500 miles on her 2010 Limited. With about 50/50 mix of city/highway, it's averaging 20.4 MPG. It could be better, but she keeps the car loaded down with junk and she drives pretty aggressively.
I am also looking at getting one for the wife.....a friends kid is going away for schooling and really likes our car so its kinds sold i guess
anyway
2007 EDGE SEL AWD....with 4xxxx miles i think?
how are the AWD?
How are they in snow?? and How is the AWD for MPG??
Subscribing...we are looking at an MKX. Pretty much the same thing. My better half is pretty aggressive as well. She should have been a race car driver.

Have an 08 AWD Limited, my wife's daily driver. Does very good in the snow, better than my 97 Expedition bad weather driver; at least until the snow is so deep the lower clearance Edge starts to plow. The Edge gets about 21.5-22.0 mpg with about 75% freeway. Have over 51K on it and the mileage is about the same all year.
Wife's is an 07 FWD w/63k. We get 18-19 regular use (50/50) and up to 24 highway. Our highway mpgs are closer to 22, bc...well...its Texas...and we cruise close to 80.
My wife's 2010 AWD gets just over 17mpg in the city driving.
The AWD is quite amazing on bad roads; I would rather the Edge than my F250 4x4 on snowy roads, unless the snow height is getting up to the hubs on the Edge, then it's big truck time
The wife has an 08 edge Limited AWD. She gets about 15 mpg in town and 20-22 mpg on the highway. The car gets around great in snow. She really loves this car.
sounds good for MPG, I did look it up the EDGE has about 60,450 or some thing like that.
the thing is I have wanted a new f-150 for some time now and since i got a different job, she said I could look into getting a new truck and we are moving now for the job and will be renting for a while until we buy a house. Its "HER" car that we are selling so do i be a nice husband and give her the edge or something like that and me keep my ranger or should i give her the ranger and me the new f150.
It was going to be the f150 but since its her car we are selling..........???
i will look in to it. the only update is we might have found a place for $250 montly rent plus utilites.(elec, propane, h2o)
But still not sure on the car deal as of now. If the buyers have called back or not.

"She, who must be obeyed" leased a 2008 FWD Edge for 2 years, her driving is pedal to the metal. 14/16 city, 18/20 hwy. This was less than the Murano she leased before the Edge.
I have a new F150. So far, with 1095 miles on the clock, the onboard computer sez: 14.8 average MPG. This is mostly city driving in the hills of LA LA Land.
A 300 mile hwy R/T to Santa Barbara last weekend bumped up the average MPG from 13.7 to 14.8.
But, who would buy a 3 ton + truck with the aerodynamics of a brick...expecting to get good gas mileage?
btw: The average price for a gallon of 87 octane regular is $4.19 here in LA LA Land.
