Instrument Failure

Hi all,
The alternator went out on my '02 Excursion today. Had it replaced. Now my instrument panel is dead along with my radio and my windows. Checked all fuses and all seem to be fine. Any suggestion w/ out having to pay for a $90 diagnostic test? I would greatly appreciate any suggestions. Thanks is advance for your help

Did you unplug the ground off your battery when you replaced the alternator?

Pull the ground for about a min. and try again.

I guess the boys at Pep Boys didn't disconnect the battery when they put the alternator in for my wife. Disconnected the battery for a few minutes and everything is working fine. I guess they were trying to soak $80 diagnostic test out of my wife....scum bags, Anyway thanks for for your swift reply and reminding me of that. My wife is so happy now I may get dinner!
Thanks Again
