ABS panels 1955 Help please.
Im getting ready to finish my interior, I have the ABS panel kit that I purchased a long time ago from Mid Fifty. Everything is tweeded up.
I have the Headliner, the Headliner corners, the Kick Panels, the Real Wall, and the Rear Corners.
Unfortunately I have the old style ABS Headliner with the Rubber Retainer that goes around the upper part of the door and windshield.
So my question is is there any super cool tips or ways to get this in??? Im sure there is a sequence like a puzzle that will make things go smoother. I spoke with Mid Fifty yesterday and they suggested start at the Rear Wall, Rear Wall corners, Headliner corners and then Headliner.
The directions that I still have says to put the rubber retainer in the groove and slide the Headliner corners onto the center section.
Any tips or hints are welcome. I hear these are a bear to install with the rubber retainer. Why didnt I wait till I actually was gonna install it to order it. I woulda had the "snap in place" Headliner.
Im prob gonna list these things on Craigslist. And the bad thing is the new one costs about 200 but of course the rear wall doesnt use that style either, so I have to order one of those too. So my price is $400, plus getting it tweeded again. Hope to regain some of my cost on Craigslist. Dang it!!!
