I Code Reader Help

I just purchased a used (used once by a older gentleman) Equus 3145 code reader to pull the codes from my 1994 2wd F250, 5spd, 5.8. I tried plugging it into the 6 pin port on the passengers side under the hood near the firewall but it won't read any codes. It just says "000". Is there another 1 pin connector I am missing? From what I read this reader should work with my truck, is this true?

Thanks,
Ryland

Yes right beside the large plug there should be a one wire plug that plugs into the reader, the STI wire.

I thought the connectors for the code reader was on the driver side?

Any tips on where it should be? I'll take some good pictures tomorrow and see if you can point them out. I spent a lot of time looking and couldn't find the STI wire... ive probably been staring right at it...

You are correct, not sure why I switched it around in my head.

Thanks

Here is a photo, the STI wire is still plugged into the holder for the two plugs for the Self-Test:

Nice,
I wonder if this will be the same as for my E350 MH. Took it on a 500 mile trip this past weekend and had several things go on (ABS light, and missed shifting (suddenly no acceleration when gas depressed, then engages again)) I wanted to get an Equus 3140 on sale at Amazon for like $175.00

All you need is the Equus 3145 and you can get it at an auto parts store for about $30.00.
That is all you need for your 1994 E350 Motorhome.

Good to go, thanks. Subford to the rescue, again :-) Is there a list of what all the codes mean?

Here is a link to the codes for your unit but a book comes with the reader with the codes in it.
Ford Fuel Injection » 3 Digit Self-test Codes 111-171

Thanks! Just got the code reader and it did not pull any codes :-) Good and bad I guess I need a different one that reads ABS codes. ABS light is on and the vehicle shifts rough or seems to slip gears while on the road!! I changed the RABS sensor that is located on the rear diff but it still does it. I checked wiring and it all seems ok.

The code reader that reads the 4wheel ABS codes is about $1,000.00 on ebay when they are there and you also need and adapter harness to go between the reader and the truck.
I do have the adapter harness (my brother in law bough it and it came but I have not seen him after it came, about a year now) but do not have the Star reader.
