i turned my truck off today and sat in it for a minute. i usually just hop right out but i wasent in a rush. i herd a noise that im not sure what it was. it was like a clicking sound really quick. would go for about 2 seconds then stop then start again.
nope dash, and def not engine or exterior sound. soudns like when you were a kid and you used to put bseball cards on your spokes. real fast. and no distinct pattern. its weird. didnt do it wheni just shut it off. my thought taht really worried me was it happened after i ran down 83 and had the spedo locked to 70. i dont know if it has the curise update or not. i am going to call tomorrow
i would say for about 3 seconds total. it was intermitent, i would be realy fast tick tick tick tick, and then stop then mabye 3 ticks then stop, then a whole bunch. then stop for about 4 seconds and one or two ticks.
right behind that lower cover is a couple of relays if i remember right they are trailer lighting and flasher . does it sound like a relay engaging and releasing.
guys this got much worse. i just went out to my truck to fuel up and the motor for the fan was on, my gauges were slightly lit. what could cause the 12c to not be switched.
i will be making a new thread to help bump this i am suposto go to allentown tomorow to take the FD test. right now my truck is dead with nothing to jump it. GREAT>
mine was doing that. the flasher relay was on its way out. it eventually started doing it more and more. then the left front signal started flashing with it. had to drive all the way home from work with the left front flashing. i pulled the trim piece on the dash and reached through the hole where the 4x4 switch is and felt the relay going crazy and pulled it out
