international Fuel Systems is right up there in Toledo, they usually stock parts for our trucks, if your needing fuel work give them a call-(419) 475-5276
The colsest Navistar dealer is Buckeye truck center in findely ohio but id try at IFS. they do pretty good work.

It runs ... My wife and son brought an IP, My son did the honors of swapping them.

We are currently eating, then we'll hit the road to see if we can make it.

Yesterday there was no water in the oil, today there is so we dumped the oil for fresh oil.

Hopefully I'll be back online tonight saying "We made it" ...

-Enjoy

Keep us updated, I may be the only IDI owner in this neck of the woods until you get back up to Maine!

It really sucks the oil cooler let loose. According to the other thread, that was a new part from Ford. I sure hope it doesn't cause any more trouble before you can give it some good attention once it's back home...if you still have patience for it by then!

We made it ... Been home about 2 hours!

However, I have to admit ... I AM A BONE HEAD!!!!!!!!!

Yes, Thats right I AM A BONE HEAD!

Here is the deal, I blew the head gasket in New Mexico, I was beat'n feet towards the house, I needed Dello 400, I exited in Geneva, Ohio got my oil and had a bit of a time getting the truck started, I saw a gas station that had a good price on Diesel so I filled up ... But not with Diesel, I filled it with Unleaded according to the receipt and whats in the tanks!

So you see, I am a bone head!

My apologies to everyone.

All this fuss because I freaking put GAS in a DIESEL!!!

Hate the new Injection Pump, Truck is a dog, it may not of ran correctly before but it pulled hard, now it's gutless and won't get out of it's own way ... Yup, Already got Pyro and Boost gauges, to many other things to deal with at the moment.

Before the new IP, It started instantly, pulled like a raped ape, skipped and hopped and choked a little now and again, smoked pretty good when cold, don't let off the pedal and coast engine braking ... if you did folks would think you were skeeter fogging. (it smoked pretty bad, blue smoke), no black on the fender, never saw any black smoke.

New IP, Starts instantly, Runs smooth all the time, IT'S A GUTLESS DOG, it does not smoke at all anymore except A little black puff before the Turbo spools, I now see a little black on my fender as well.

I Mickey Moused in my Pyro while our son swapped IP's, the highest I could get it was about 1050, that is at #8 in the exhaust manifold, I drilled and tapped it at my dads and put a plug in it for future use, the future arrived!

Any way peoples, the wife and I thank you all for everything, sorry It was purely because I'm a bone head!

Never did get the Cab for my 86 SuperCab, Diesel 4x4 ZF or the Dually wheels needed, Got lots of other stuff though, whole truck load, JoeF350 gave me his old 85 front clip, got a tailgate and two doors along the way as well as a few minor pieces for both the 86 and 94, nor did I find the badges I need for the 94, had to give up when the head gasket let go and beat feet home. O-well's maybe another time, another trip.

Still can't believe I did that ... Gas in a Diesel!

-Enjoy

lol, you bought yourself a gasser huh? thats the ****s man. glad you finally made it home though. if your old ip is still ok, why not stick it back in there? flush out all that "new fuel" and run diesel with lucas and kleen though it. or grab one of those uhaul ones.

It's a u-haul IP, It look's pretty but it pulls ****ty.

Oreo, The old IP is bad, that's why I had one, I ordered it the day after I bought the truck, you didn't see the blue smoke when I started it at your place ???
I think I also told you about the blue smoke when off the go pedal coasting, the new IP stopped all that.

I would give anything to know that old IP's specs, it freaking pulled incredible and never a wiff of black, lots of blue and funky starts though. Can't tell if it is the original or if it's been replaced, the Injectors have been replaced and I'll be replacing them ASAP ...

-Enjoy
