Im considering respraying my orange 77 4x4 f100 shortbed just to get the bodywork up to speed with the rest of the truck, but i want to do something different, as in stripes etc. i dont want any trim strips because there expensive as hell around here.
Anyone got pics to inspire me?
Here is my stock 75 2wd with the custom explorer package
This color is orange...but on the manufacturer's statement it is called Mexicali Red. I found a 1975 PPG paint code/chip card with the Mexicali Red code and chip. The chip looks more red than my truck but the factory paper matches by serial number and options. The white stripes are original.
Real nice truck there, very original. That tape stripe looks a lot like the ones found on the boss mustangs. The orange that my truck is currently is similar to the chrome yellow on that chart. Its actually a color known here down under as Telecom gold, as its an ex linesmans truck lol.
Here's my '78 F150 from back in 1992 or '93. The color 79 fourdoor posted looks like a color form the early 90's/late 80's? A color I am going to paint a '95-97 F350 whenever I get one someday, only 'cuz I'm known around my area for driving an old orange Ford, lol. I believe mine was called Medium Copper
