First off, does the truck turn over, or is it completely dead? When you turn the key do all of the accesories turn on? Can you hear the fuel pump prime? I would start inspecting wiring and fuses. It may have burned out a fuseable link or two. Keep us posted.

First of all, when the polarity is reversed, depended upon time batt is "hooked up" Momentarily it may just have popped the PCM module, but if left hooked up for more than 5 secs it will fry the alternator, EEC IV ignition module, PCM, any components with diodes in their circuitry, so to make a long story short, take out main components and have them tested by a parts store. To just replace can be costly, PCM on the average 125 w/ exc, Alt 80-100 w/ exc, ign module around 50, some parts stores or dealers may charge a small fee (most are free of charge) but this may save you a lot of money in the long run. GOOD LUCK
Dan

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 23-Dec-02 AT 09:32 AM (EST)]dude that really sux. you are an idiot!!! just kidding, i did the same thing. Cost me 400 in labor and 400 in parts cuz i couldnt figure it out. mine would turn over by jumping the selenoid but not start. There were some fusible links fried, computer, inition module (I had a nice MSD6a) that i ruined. And i blew my CD player. I left it hooked up for a long *** time though.
