What was the trouble code Number they pulled???? If you don't have it, have them scan the computer again, get the trouble code Number & post it here & we'll see if we can come up with a diagnosis. Dont buy anything else until you work up a reasonable diagnosis.
Any additional clues on the vehicles behavior that you can provide will likely be helpful.
Also how many miles on it & where you are on all past & present due scheduled maintenance & any repairs in the past.
Did this problem come about suddenly after some event????
P1506 is for high idle speed & suspecting the IAC is reasonable, as it's a common problem part, But other things can also cause high idle speeds.
Like an electrical problem to the IAC, sticking open IAC, I know you said it's new, but that doesn't automatically make it good, because they're not 100% tested, if they're tested at all, computer problem, acting out evap system, vacuum leak & this would include a stuck open PCV valve or leaking connection to it & all other vacuum sources, dirty sticking open throttle plate, binding throttle cable ect, ect. So you need to look deeper & check the things listed.
