WOW is all I can say. That's what I was looking for when I found FTE. Great support! Not that it was not there, it just seemed as if every post dealt with an issue and not all of the great things this truck can provide.
You guys are great. I needed that lift.
I pledge to add my feedback on the GOOD things this truck will give me.
I will concur with my fellow comrades. You will love the truck. When I joined in Nov 2010, it was because I was having a couple of issues with the erratic tranny shifts and the rear end shutter when pulling my 5er. Over the past four plus months, I have gotten support and information on my truck that helped dispel my buyers remorse. Heck, these guys here know more than many service mgrs. While not all issues have been corrected yet, there is a light at the end of the tunnel.
Enjoy your new truck!
BTW: Welcome to the two new club members: jsrtruck and azking_Ranch.

That is an understatement! If I ran a Ford service department I'd make it a policy that each of my SW's would need to be a member of this forum and read it daily. I've recommended it to a couple of them and they look at me like I'm nuts. I'd also have the sales staff do the same. The people on here made my sale for Ford....the sales guy just filled out the paperwork.

Geez, I was trying to be nice. Go ahead, get it off your chest. Just shout it right out.
Truck has just over 21,000 kms on it and I couldn't be happier. Some minor front end issues that were covered under warranty and the occasional delayed shift from 1st to 2nd gear. The shifting thing will be addressed soon, and I would definitely buy this truck again.
Had mine since Sept and have had 0 problems or issues in 11K miles. Have towed a 10,500 lb 5th wheel for 6K miles. Handles it just fine acceleration is outstanding and getting 12mpg! No regrets getting ready to go again and another 5K miles....price of fuel They have really done a nice job with this truck, you will not be disappointed.

I know how you feel brother. This truck costs a lot of money and it was hard for me to stand next to the truck on the dealer's lot and stare at the $62K price tag. Granted, I paid quite a bit less when the deal was done, but man; it’s an expensive truck. In my mind I thought...maybe I will buy the 2010 Super Duty and save a lot more money...the dealership was really trying to unload the 2010 trucks. I drove the 2010 truck several times....walked inside the dealership and talked to a mechanic in the back for his advice. He said did you drive the 2011 truck yet...no was my reply. He said to get my butt inside of one and then make my choice. The 2011 Super Duty is unbelievably fast! This truck accelerates so hard from third to fourth gear you will lose your mind! The truck is worth buying…I bought my truck on Oct 2010 and have had zero troubles. Enjoy your new truck and post pictures of it when you get it!
Thanks, Big-Sarge. (I feel like I have to agree with you with a name like that)
In all seriousness I really apprecaite the outpour of support from everyone. I was telling my wife the other day when I wrote this that I was second guessing my decision... but 25 posts later and every one of them a positive experience, and even from some new members, I am 100% convinced I made the right choice.
Thanks again... now I am even more anxious about getting the truck... just not the payments.
I have 6700 miles on mine and have never had one problem. I've towed our 36' 10k lb. travel trailer about 800 miles now, a 1500 lb boat, and a large utility trailer loaded with a large 4 wheeler with no issues. I can honestly say, at least at this point, that this is by far the best vehicle I've ever owned. And, this is my first diesel.
My F450 was built 3/2010, so it was one of the first of the new generation.
I have had major problems:
Often, it will spin all 4 rear wheels during initial throttle application.
I have had it jump sideways if I apply throttle during turns.
Sometimes, all the stuff in my 5th wheel ends up at the back of the trailer, and I don't know why?
Whenever someone tries to jump me at a light and I dust them, they get very angry and yell and point at me.
Do you think you can live like this? I feel confident if you get a Dodge none of this would ever happen
