tranny overfill?
hey folks i recently installed a new heavy duty clutch and replaced the dual MESS flywheel with a solid one. once installed the tranny made excessive noise and i was told that i could add more oil to quieten it up. is it possible to overfill these 5 speeds and risk blowing out seals? if so what would be considered a safe amount. thanks for any help....by the way i added about 3 1/2 quarts to it and it was already about 1/2 quart (or a lil more) low. the factory rarely fills em enuff to let it run out the fill plug like we all do so im probably 3 qts over. should i drain some or maybe drain it all and re-add a specific (overfull) amount?
by the way it is MUCH more quiet now and that valair clutch is the only one to put in IMO. thanks all!
